Desperate to help you achieve your dreams
I watched Desperate Housewives last night as I do most Sunday nights. It is a little escape from the realities of the world and usually gives me a good laugh or two. Although most times the plot is silly and way out there, last night’s episode gave me a few insights into myself.
In one of the sub-plots, Lynette was on a date with a handsome hairdresser and she couldn’t help but encourage this man to take a step further with his career. Her controlling personality took over and she went as far as to draft out a 5-year plan on a napkin. Her date, however, was quite content in his current situation as a stylist and wasn’t really interested in owning a salon or business. He enjoyed cutting hair. Lynette couldn’t understand that.
I am a bit like Lynette in these types of situations. I don’t understand why people can be so content and not want to improve themselves or their situation.
I am completely like Lynette in situations where people say things like “I have a dream of this” or “I wish I could do that.” These are the times my inner-Lynette wants to say, “So what is stopping you? Why aren’t you doing anything about it?” But I don’t and then wonder to myself how I can help these people do something about it.
So that is why I am here. That is why I started this blog. I have a desperate need to help people achieve their dreams. It is my passion to surround people with the tools and resources to keep them motivated and on the path to living their dream.
I hope this blog becomes one of your favorites. I hope you turn to it for inspiration, motivation, tools, tips and resources. But most of all, I hope it helps you to achieve all of your dreams.
May all your dreams come true!
